Global Learning Program for Youth Scholarships 2025 (High School Students Cultural Visit)

Gobal Educational Community (GEC), in partnership with Ministry of Educaton of the Zhejiang Province of China, is thrilled to announce an exciting program for the summer of 2025. GEC will provide an opportunity for student-teacher teams to study history and culture in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China from May 29th –June 7th, 2025. Participants will interact with students and teachers from local schools, explore Chinese history and culture, and learn about the impact of sustainability on a rapidly developed society.

STEM for Teachers

Indiana teachers can experience teaching opportunities in China during the summer of 2025. Teachers work on teams providing innovative strategies to Chinese students and teachers. These professional development opportunities on both sides of the world provide educational exchanges and conversations to enhance educational globally. Recently, the focus has been on STEM/ STEAM with a recent focus on PBL (Problem Based Learning) The educational exchange is rich in nature, however, the cultural opportunity can be life changing.

Practices of an Innovative Teacher Leader

Josh Amstutz is a teacher in the Academy of Global Studies (AGS)  at Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati. This is a public school with 1200 students. Three hundred students participate directly in the AGS program. Josh’s educational background includes BA and MA degrees in integrated mathematics from Capital University and the University of Cincinnati. His instructional load includes teaching a combined physics and pre-calculus course called Pre-Calculus Aligned Physics (PCAP) and three College Credit Plus Courses via Cincinnati State at Winton Woods.
